Facebook crashed on 28th Of September 2015 and was unavailable for around 40 minutes due to a ‘configuration issue’.
It is the third time in a month the site has gone down, sparking an angry reaction from some users.
The company saw its share price dip by around four per cent as a result of the problems.
While most users are now are able to access the site, there are still some in Europe who are reporting problems with the service.
A spokesman for the company in a video also explains what happens whenever the site goes offline.
