Ibrahim Lamorde an ex Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, is dead.
Lamorde died in Egypt at the age of 61.
Report has it that Ibrahim Lamorde died in Egypt where he had visited for medical intervention for his illness.
Ibrahim Lamorde was born on December 20, 1962, he was recruited into the Nigerian Police in 1986 where he retired as a Deputy Inspector General of Police in 2021.
At the aftermath of the removal of Farida Waziri by former President Good luck Jonathan, Lamorde was appointed in as acting chairman of EFCC on November 3, 2011.
Ibrahim Lamorde was later confirmed by the Senate on February 15, 2012 as the third substantive chairman of EFCC.
