The management of the Umar Musa Yar’ Adua University Katsina (UMYU) has banned graduating students in the institute from signing on T-shirts while celebrating their exit.
This was announced in an internal memo dated 24th June signed by the Dean, Student Affairs, Mustapha Bala Ruma, seen by Okay.ng.
The memo reads: “The Management of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University has observed with dismay, the way graduating students are celebrating their exit after their final examinations especially the signing out on the graduation T-shirts.
“Consequent upon that, the University Management has banned the signing out on the T-shirts from the graduation celebration.
“Please be informed that appropriate sanctions will be taken against defaulters of the above.”
