Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has accepted an FA charge of misconduct for running onto the pitch after the Reds’ last-minute winner over Everton in a Premier League clash on Sunday.
The Liverpool manager invaded the pitch, sprinting and fist-pumping, after Divock Origi’s dramatic winner at Anfield.
Klopp will receive a fine of about £8,000 from the Football Association and has been warned about his future conduct.
“I didn’t want to be disrespectful but I couldn’t stop myself,” Klopp told Sky Sports.
“The plan was not to run [onto the pitch to celebrate]. When I chose to stop I was close to Alisson. He was surprised. It was the last situation of the game. Both teams delivered an unbelievable fight.”
