Femi Fani-Kayode has called on the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to fight the Boko Haram insurgents and stop witch-hunting politicians in opposition parties.
The former Minister of Avaiation, alongside former Minister of State Finance, Nenadi Usman, Yusuf Danjuma, a former National Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) and Jointrust Dimentions Nigeria Ltd. are being tried by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a 17-count charge of laundering about N4.6 billion.
And following the death of thirteen people, killed on Wednesday when Boko Haram fighters and suicide bombers carried out an attack on Jiddari Polo in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, Fani-Kayode said on his Twitter handle that, ”Instead of fighting BH and Fulani militias this govt is persecuting opposition leaders and dragging us from court to court on spurious and bogus criminal charges.
”Meanwhile BH attacked and ENTERED parts of Maiduguri last night. Now the city is under siege.”
