The Nigerian entertainment industry is in mourning following the passing of veteran actor, Jimi Solanke, who died on Monday at the age of 81.
Solanke, fondly known as Uncle Jimi, reportedly passed away while being transported to the Babcock University Teaching Hospital from his country home at Ipara Remo.
The seasoned actor had been battling health issues since December and had been in and out of the hospital until his demise on Monday morning.
Throughout his illustrious career, Solanke made significant contributions to Nigerian cinema, featuring in notable productions such as “Kongi’s Harvest,” “Sango,” and “Shadow Parties,” among others.
