After a 2-week hiatus of the show, the Live Shows are back on the Voice Nigeria Season 4.

There’s an energy about your brand and voice that gives me hope.

A few things to note about the episode includes the reveal of a new host: Keturah King, a guest coach; Ice Prince, and a vivacious Red Room host, Anee Icha.
The Voice Nigeria is a Reality TV show designed to discover and promote talented singers to actualise their dreams of becoming international stars. This aligns with FirstBank’s commitment to providing a platform for nurturing and showcasing talents.
Live Show – Reveal

The show kickstarted with the audience save reveal by host, Keturah King.
After a series of very demanding episodes at the Battles, talents who did not make it past the battles rounds were presented with a lifeline to be brought back to the show by the audience. This voting system described as “Audience save”, is an opportunity for viewers to vote back on to the show their favourite contestants. Team Niyola was however exempted from this after she broke the rule during the Battles. Watch here.
The viewers voted back to the show, Bryan Jeremiah from Team Naeto C and Martin “Marrz” Asogwa from Team Waje.
During the Live shows coaches have no say as to who leaves or stays. This is because the ultimate decision-making is thrown to the audience.
Team Naeto C
Amaka took centre stage as the first performer of the night. The talented singer in her combat-ready style, performed ‘Wanted’ by Tiwa Savage.
Nicole “brought the superstar” singing ‘That’s the Way It Is’ by Celine Dion and Jennifer aka Queen Jasper was purposeful in singing ‘Only Girl’ by Rihanna. Coach Naeto C was gracious with his compliments when he commended Jennifer’s melodious rendition and Amaka’s delivery. In his words: “She’s made me proud and uplifted the team in general”.
Adeola wrapped up performances for Team Naeto C in her very self-assured rendition of ‘If I were a Boy’.
Team Waje
Team Waje brought their A-game for the Live Shows which included their complimentary background props and actors. Faith Jason sang “You are Not Alone” in the very befitting ‘King of Pop’ Iconic ensemble, Ikande was brilliant in his rendition of “Always Pray for You” by Nosa and Matt de Baritone delivered a powerful performance of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Josh Groban.
Tejiri proved her mettle singing “Love Riddim” by Rotimi. The singer who is most notable for ballads on the show reprised herself singing the “Afro-pop” hit. A genre that is not exactly in her comfort zone. Tejiri’s combination of rhythm, emotions and character was fulfilling to watch and deserving of the show.
Best performances of the night
Here is a recap of the best performances of the night.

Singers Bryan and Martin proved themselves worthy of their return on the show. The singers who were saved via the audience vote defined the proverbial saying of being tested to produce better results. Bryan interpreted through his art a very emotional side to the hit R&B single “A song for mama”. Thus, revealing a never-before seen version of the singer.
Marrz was magical when he sang “Rude” by Magic. The talented singer in his traditional ‘Igbo’ attire brought the reggaeton flip to his stage-worthy performance of the classical hit. His performance delivered rap, singing, melody and creativity that was very satisfying for Coach Waje to watch. The gifted songstress, spoke to the opportunities that abound for singers like Marrz with purpose and talent. She also referenced Marrz’s music style as a conduit for others to come.
Another magical performance was from David Ikande. David’s mastered control of his head and chest voices was the perfect work of art for the hit single “Always Pray for You”. David impressed his coach as well as Coaches Praiz and guest coach Ice Prince. The gifted singer also had great background props that stirred a heavenly aura and elicited memories.
One Key Thing to Note
The Fast-forward Rule.
The fast-forward rule allows each coach to send one member of their team straight to the semi-finals and to the Top 14. Playing by this rule, Coach Naeto C chose to send Jennifer to the semi-finals and Coach Waje chose Ikande.
It is important to note that all other talents are up to be saved. Therefore, the audience would be voting for the remaining 8 contestants. They are:

Faith, Matt, Tejiri and Martin “Marzz”. (Team Waje).
Amaka, Star, Nicole and Bryan. (Team Naeto C).
