The former Reds skipper returned to Liverpool ahead of Monday’s huge clash with Manchester United but this time he will be making his from the stands and maybe with some dressing room chat with his former team-mates if given the opportunity by Klopp.
Gerrard is currently out of action for LA Galaxy and took advantage of the opportunity to jet back to his home city where he is believed to be undergoing some rehabilitation work on an hamstring injury having been spotted at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground on Thursday .
The former England captain scored nine times for Liverpool against their arch-rivals during his illustrious career at Anfield. He left Merseyside for LA Galaxy last year.
