The former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina, will be arraigned in court on Friday, October 25, 2019, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC spokesman, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, stating that Maina will be arraigned on a 12-count charge bordering on “money laundering, operating fictitious bank accounts and fraud.”
Uwujaren also revealed that Maina’s son, Faisal, will be arraigned in the same court on a separate but similar charge.
It can be recalled that a court granted an ex-parte motion filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seeking to forfeit 23 properties linked to Maina.
