Renowned music producer, Don Jazzy, has announced the appointment of Tega Oghenejobo (also known as Tega Mavin) as the new President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Mavin Records.
Don Jazzy shared the news on his Instagram page on Tuesday, posting photos of himself alongside Oghenejobo to mark the occasion.
He expressed pride in Oghenejobo’s expanded role, acknowledging his contributions to the growth of the label.
“I’m proud to announce Tega’s expanded role as President and COO of Mavin,” Don Jazzy wrote.
“While I am often praised for discovering and nurturing superstars, I can confidently say the most genius move I’ve made was recognizing Tega’s passion and resilience.”
Don Jazzy highlighted Oghenejobo’s instrumental role in shaping the business, building teams, and ensuring sustainable careers for the label’s artists.
“His commitment to Mavin and African music has been relentless, and I’m certain that with him in this role, we’ll continue to achieve remarkable milestones for our artists and the company,” he added.
Mavin Records also took to its official Instagram page to announce the appointment, stating, “We are thrilled to announce Tega Oghenejobo as the President and COO of Mavin Global.
This expanded leadership role reflects Tega’s significant contributions to our growth and his pivotal role in our strategic future.”
The label emphasized its focus on global expansion and strengthening its roster of talented artists.
“With Tega in this role, we are poised to strengthen our global footprint, enhance our exceptional talent roster, and set new industry benchmarks,” the statement read.
Mavin Records, founded on May 8, 2012, following the dissolution of Mo’ Hits Records, has become one of Africa’s leading music labels.
It currently represents top artists including Rema, Ayra Starr, Crayon, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, Magixx, Boy Spyce, Bayanni, and Lifesize Teddy.
