Renowned Nigerian drama evangelist and founder of Mount Zion Faith Drama Ministry, Mike Bamiloye, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of gospel actress Toluwalope Adegboyega-Alagbe, affectionately known as Flora from the acclaimed ‘Abattoir’ series.
Flora succumbed to injuries on February 4, 2025, following a car accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in December 2024.
In a touching message on his Facebook page, Bamiloye honored Flora’s passing, reaffirming his strong faith in God’s plan and the calling of Christian filmmaking.
He wrote, “We are soldiers…on the battlefield! Jesus is our commander! When He calls our names, we shall answer a million times!” He further added, “When you cross over to Heaven, you forget all pains and griefs. No shaking! Tolu left a great impact and was called home to heaven! We shall continue till the end!”
Despite the profound loss, Bamiloye reaffirmed the commitment to faith-based storytelling, stating, “The devil cannot touch us without God knowing about it! We will not keep quiet! We move! More Abattoirs! More Abejoyes!!!” He encouraged fellow gospel filmmakers to remain steadfast in their calling, underscoring the resilience and dedication required in their ministry.
Flora’s tragic passing comes shortly after the loss of another ‘Abattoir’ actor, Moses Korede Are, who portrayed Baba Gbenro. He passed away in November 2024 and was laid to rest on January 31, 2025.
Joshua Mike-Bamiloye, son of Mike Bamiloye, also paid tribute to the late actress in an emotional post on X (Formerly Twitter). He wrote, “It’s been a few quiet days for me here. I am still struggling to process the passing of Toluwalope—a fellow drama minister and a light in this world. It’s heartbreaking and difficult to understand, but even in our pain, we continue to trust Him. It was a short run but with a lasting impact. My heart goes out to her family. I pray the Lord Himself will comfort them beyond what words can express.”
