Globally renowned Muslim scholar Mufti Menk and former Nigerian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, have joined the Nigerian Muslim community in mourning the passing of Abdul Latif Miyaki, famously known as Mufti Yaks.
Mufti Yaks was a young motivational and inspirational speaker, admired for his efforts to spread the universal message of Islam.
The community was met with the sad news of Mufti Yaks’ death on a Saturday morning. Known for his imitation of Mufti Menk in dressing, speaking, and preaching, Mufti Yaks had earned a place in the hearts of many.
Mufti Menk, in a condolence message posted on his social media handles, expressed his sorrow over the loss of his protege. He stated, “I’m saddened by the news of the death of the young Abdul Latif Miyaki, Mufti Yaks this morning. He was a very talented young lad trying to spread goodness. May Allah Almighty forgive him, accept his good deeds, and grant him the highest ranks of Paradise. Aameen.”
Professor Pantami also shared his grief, describing Mufti Yaks’ death as a significant loss. He remarked, “Inna lil Laahi wa inna ilaiHi Raajiun. Just heard that our beloved son, Abdullateef Aliyu Maitaki, popularly known as MUFTI YAKS passed away. What a great loss! May the Almighty Allah admit him into Jannatul Firdaus.”
