The Nasarawa State Government has appealed to its citizens to avoid participating in a planned nationwide protest against the government of President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement released on Saturday, Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Mr. Ibrahim Angbolo, emphasized the state government’s commitment to democratic governance and acknowledged the efforts of President Tinubu to revitalize the nation’s economy.
Angbolo cautioned youths against joining the protest, citing concerns that it may be hijacked by criminal elements seeking to loot and disrupt government and commercial activities. He urged citizens to carefully assess the situation and consider the potential consequences of participating in the protest, which could undermine the country’s democratic progress and achievements.
The statement comes as the state government seeks to maintain peace and stability in the face of planned protests, emphasizing the importance of supporting the government’s efforts to address economic challenges and promote growth and development.
