The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) has announced plans to hold a derivatives workshop in collaboration with institutional investors and various stakeholders within the capital market.
The primary aim of the workshop is to educate investors and other participants on the trading of Single Stock Futures on the Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETDs) market.
The upcoming workshop will emphasize the significance, practical application, and intricacies of trading Single Stock Futures on the NGX platform.
It will also focus on key aspects such as risk management, clearing and settlement procedures, and the safeguards available within the derivatives market ecosystem.
The event is expected to attract prominent players in Nigeria’s capital market, including institutional and retail investors, asset managers, pension fund administrators (PFAs), regulators, banks, and other capital market operators.
The workshop will kick off with a webinar titled “Uncovering Trading Opportunities in NGX Single Stock Futures” scheduled for Tuesday, 24th October 2023. Interested participants can register for the event through the NGX Derivatives Workshop portal.
Expressing his views about the upcoming webinar, Mr. Jude Chiemeka, the Executive Director of Capital Markets at NGX, emphasized the significance of promoting knowledge and understanding of Single Stock Futures in the Nigerian capital market.
