Nigeria’s ex President Olusegun Obasanjo insisted that the nation had wasted all the chances to greatness given to it by God.
OBJ made the claim yesterday as he received Ogun State governor Ibikunle Amosun at his hilltop residence in Abeokuta, P.M. News reports.
Now, ahead of the February elections, the former President prayed for another chance and urged Nigerians to do the “needful” during the period of the polls.
Obasanjo called on people to be thankful to God for what what the country has given to them but added that Nigerians “now need to invoke the spirit of God to lead, guide and protect us in the new year”.
It would be recalled that last year was specifically marked by the release of his biography titled “My Watch” and containing serious allegations. The appearance of the book triggered numerous reactions.
Regarding the claims directed at President Goodluck Jonathan, ex presidential aspirant, Prof. Pat Utomi, for example said that Obasanjo was guilty of the same things he accused Jonathan of.
