The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPC Ltd) has assured the public that the mild fuel queues being experienced in Lagos, Abuja and some parts of the country will soon disappear.
This reassurance was provided in a statement issued on Saturday by Mr. Olufemi Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd.
Soneye explained that the current tightness in fuel supply and distribution in some areas, including Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is due to a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels.
He emphasized that NNPC Ltd is actively working with all relevant stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in fuel supply and distribution.
The statement reads: “The NNPC Ltd wishes to state that the tightness in fuel supply and distribution witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT is as a result of a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels. The Company further states that it is working round the clock with all stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in the operations.”
