Harry Kane has successfully completed his transfer to Bayern Munich for a sum of £100 million from Tottenham, with the potential for his debut occurring later on Saturday.
Arriving in Germany on Friday evening, Kane successfully underwent the initial phase of his medical assessment at Barmherzige Bruder Hospital situated in western Munich.
Subsequently, the second stage of his medical evaluation took place at Bayern’s Sabener Strasse training facility. Under the terms of his agreement, the 30-year-old has committed to a four-year contract. He remains a candidate to participate in the German Super Cup against RB Leipzig as part of his prospective debut for Bayern. However, it is a prerequisite that he is formally registered by 2 pm UK time to be eligible for participation at the Allianz Arena.
In a farewell address to Tottenham, Kane expressed that the present juncture was opportune for his departure from the club. He nuanced his statement by suggesting that while this might mark his departure, it need not be an eternal farewell.
Kane articulated,
“It brings me a sense of melancholy to part ways with the institution I have been affiliated with for nearly two decades – a journey spanning from my adolescence at the age of 11 to my adulthood at 30. This tenure has been enriched with numerous instances of excellence and cherished memories that will forever remain in my heart.”
He continued by acknowledging the unwavering support of the Tottenham fans:
“To the faithful Tottenham supporters, from the very inception of my career, I have been intertwined with your identity, committing my utmost effort to render you proud and engender an assortment of exceptional instances and recollections, which I trust shall endure eternally.”
In his composed narrative, Kane underscored his decision to leave the club:
“My contemplation led me to the conviction that the current moment warrants my departure. I was disinclined to embark on a season shadowed by unresolved conjecture about my future. It strikes me as pivotal for the new managerial helm and the collective of players to center their focus on elevating Tottenham’s stature to contend at the upper echelons of the league, vying for illustrious trophies.”
Kane conveyed his best wishes to the team:
“My sincere well-wishing extends to Ange and the entire roster. I will henceforth adopt the stance of an avid supporter, watching their endeavors from the stands, with a fervent aspiration for the team’s accomplishments.”
Addressing the global Tottenham fanbase, Kane’s tone remained appreciative:
“I direct this message to Tottenham enthusiasts across the world, each individual supporter who has steadfastly stood by me throughout my odyssey. My family and I shall forever treasure these memories. The shared moments have indelibly etched themselves into our consciousness. To you all, I express my heartfelt gratitude. The forthcoming season shall not escape my vigilant gaze.”
Concluding with a touch of optimism and humility, Kane maintained:
“I convey my well-wishing to Tottenham as a collective entity. Though this may appear as a parting salutation, the intricacies of the future remain enigmatic. My gratitude persists, and our rendezvous shall resume ere long. Thank you, until we meet again.”
