Manchester City were on Wednesday night eliminated from the UEFA Champions league after they lost by a lone goal to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
Gareth Bale struck in the first half to put the Spanish giants in the final of the competition.
Speaking after the game, Manchester City Manager, Manuel Pellegrini, expressed disappointment.
“I am disappointed because I think that was a very close game with two teams who did not create many chances. The two teams were working with no-one making a difference.
“It is not the best thing changing a defender very early but I don’t think we had any problems in defence, we had problems creating, same as Real Madrid. They did not create many chances.
“We worked the game very well. During whole game we tried to make some difference.”
“Real couldn’t kill us off. We defended well when needed. We just didn’t have that little bit more.
“I don’t think we can be bothered by criticism. It is what it is. We turn up to win every game.”
