A train traveling from Kaduna State to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, has derailed at Jere in Kaduna.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning, around an hour after the train, carrying dozens of passengers, departed from Kaduna at approximately 8:05 a.m.
Sources from Okay.ng report that the derailment involved about three carriages going off the tracks.
In response, security operatives, including members of the Nigeria Police and the Army, have swiftly arrived at the scene to offer support and ensure the safety of the passengers.
The exact cause of the derailment is yet to be determined, and details are still emerging.
