Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino has showered praise on Juan Foyth despite his side’s 4-2 defeat to Arsenal in Sunday’s Premier League encounter.
Pochettino said he was happy with the defender’s display against the Gunners, adding that the Argentine international was fantastic.
“Foyth’s performance was very good,” Metro UK quoted Pochettino as saying after the match.
“Of course he failed in this instance but he was great in the game, fantastic. I’m so happy with him.
“I’m not going to focus on him. The team was good in general. It was a very competitive game.
“Arsenal had a lot of energy but the game was even until the third goal. It was tough to come back again.”
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira scored for Unai Emery’s side at Emirates while Eric Dier and Harry Kane did score for the visitors.
