President Muhammadu Buhari will swear in ministerial-designates next Wednesday, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday announced on its Twitter page.
This implies that the much awaited federal executive council (FEC) will be constituted next week.
This came after President Buhari had a two-day retreat with the ministerial-designates.
Senate President Bukola Saraki on Tuesday submitted a list of confirmed ministers to the president at the presidential villa.
The senate confirmed 36 nominees as ministers after a screening exercise that was dramatic, as it was controversial.
The following are among those confirmed as minister: Lai Mohammed, Babatunde Fashola, Kayode Fayemi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Audu Ogbeh, Ibe Kachikwu, Amina Mohammed and Chibuike Amaechi. Others are Heineken Lokpobiri, Cladius Daramola, Adebayo Shittu, Shehuri Mustapha, Ocholi James, Adewole Folorunso, Bawa Bwari, Geoffrey Onyeama, Zainab Ahmed, Mansur Dan Ali, Usani Uguru, Okechukwu Enelamah, Anwuka Anthony, Musa Bello, Adamu Adamu, Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim and Aisha Abubakar.
