President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to visit Plateau State for an on the spot assessment and condolence visit Tuesday.
Renewed violence in Plateau State has led to the killing of 86 persons according to the police, while locals say over 100 were killed.
There is heavy security Presence currently on all major roads in Jos, the Plateau State Capital following the planned visit of President, Muhammadu Buhari to the State.
Okay Nigeria gather that Buhari is expected in Jos today to assess the level of security following recent killings in parts of Plateau State that claims over 200 lives.
The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo had visited the State and had a meeting with both the Berom Elders and Fulani leaders.
A source told Okay Nigeria that the President is billed to arrive Jos by 2pm.
The President was last in Jos on March 8, 2018 when several killings were recorded in Bassa and Bokkos Local Government Areas of the State.
Top elites including the Governor, Simon Lalong at the town hall meeting with Buhari when he came last failed to give a true picture of the suspected Fulani herdsmen attacks in the State.
Many Nigerians have, however, criticised the president for not personally visiting Plateau since the Saturday attack.
