President Bola Tinubu welcomed his first set of guests for the Eid-El-Fitr homage at the Presidential Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja, on Sunday. The gathering commenced at 12:16 p.m. upon the president’s arrival at the venue, okay.ng reports.
Among the attendees were lawmakers representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at the National Assembly, chairpersons of FCT area councils, traditional rulers, Christian and Muslim community leaders, and senior judicial officers.
The event began with prayers led by Dr. Timothy Amazon, Chairman of the FCT Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, and Prof. S.A.S. Galadanci, the Murshid of the National Mosque.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, who led the delegation, was set to deliver the opening remarks. This would be followed by the presentation of greeting cards to the President by the guests.
Dignitaries in attendance included Vice President Kashim Shettima, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris.
