Abubakar Adamu Mohammed, has been appointed acting Inspector General Of Police by President Muhammadu Buhari to replace Ibrahim Idris who is due to retirement.
Okay Nigeria earlier reported that Ibrahim Idris has reached his mandatory 35 years in service or 60 years of age to reitre.
Mohammed, who was the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, near Jos, Plateau State, will be officially announced as the new Police Boss on Tuesday.
He was born on November 9, 1961, is from Lafia, the Capital of Nasarawa state.
He joined the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 1986 and was once a director of peacekeeping operations. A former police commissioner in Enugu, Mohammed was an AIG in charge Zone 5 and a directing staff member at the National Institute of policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, near Jos, Plateau state.
Mohammed was AIG in charge of Zone 5 Benin before he was sent to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru in Plateau State.
