Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has come to the defense of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), amidst criticism over Adeboye’s recent comments on the challenges facing Nigeria.
Adeboye, during a visit to Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, asserted that Nigeria’s problems require spiritual solutions, sparking debate and criticism on social media.
However, Odumodublvck took to X (Twitter) to express his support for Adeboye, stating that the cleric should not be subjected to insults online.
He highlighted the disparity in treatment between religious leaders, noting that Muslims typically refrain from insulting their clerics.
The rapper emphasized the importance of respect, particularly towards elders, suggesting that those criticizing Adeboye should consider his age and status.
He urged social media users to refrain from double standards and disrespectful behavior.
“Pastor Adeboye never insulted no one on this app. You do not see Muslims come out to insult their clerics,” Odumodublvck wrote.
“Even based on age wise. Una no fit follow una papa talk the way una follow Adeboye talk
“And he senior papa and una mama.
“Thats why I never rated you nig**s on this app. Una double standards choke.”
