Former Oyo state Governor Rasheed Ladoja has declared his intention to vie for the national chairmanship position of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ladoja had few weeks ago returned to the party from the Accord party.
The former governor met with the members of the National Caretaker Committee of the party to officially indicate interest in the seat.
The PDP caretaker chairman Ahmed Makarfi presided over the meeting that had other aspirants in attendance.
PDP’s constitution states that a member can only contest for any elective position if he has stayed in the party for two years, casting aspersions on Ladoja’s candidacy after he spent eight years with the Accord party.
The meeting had in attendance, Prof. Tunde Adeniran, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, Mr. Jimi Agbaje and Prince Uche Secondus, Chief Bode George among others.
