French Ligue 1 club, Marseille, has announced the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi as their new coach. The Italian coach has signed a three-year deal with the club, replacing Jean-Louis Gasset at the helm.
The 45-year-old De Zerbi, former manager of Brighton, expressed his excitement about joining the club, citing its rich history, prestige, and passionate supporters as key factors in his decision. “I can’t wait to sit on the bench at the Velodrome and help the club regain its rightful position,” De Zerbi said.
Marseille, the 1993 Champions League winners, confirmed the appointment on their website, stating that they are delighted to have secured the services of the highly regarded Italian coach.
