Spanish prosecutors have told Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo to appear before it on 31 July over tax evasion allegation.
The Portuguese captain, who is currently playing in the Fifa Confederations Cup with the European champions in Russia, is accused of evading 14.7 million euro ($16.5m) in tax.
He has been summoned to appear before a judge in Spain on 31 July, judicial sources told AFP on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old Real star is facing four charges of fraud through offshore companies between 2011 and 2014.
