The former England captain was told at the end of last year that he was free to leave Manchester United but opted to stay and fight for his place.
But he has been reduced to a bit-part player under
Jose Mourinho and is ready to continue his career with a money spinning move to China.
United’s all-time record goalscorer has bagged just seven goals all season and has been a target for several Chinese Super League clubs.
Guangzhou Evergrande, Beijing Guoan, Jiangsu Suning, and Tianjin Quanjian – who are set to sign Diego Costa – are all interested in signing Rooney.
The Chinese transfer window opens on June 17th and Wayne Rooney is believed to a deal on the table that will net him £32million a season on the table.
Rooney is due to be under contract to United for another season and the club have an option to extend his contract for another year but its clear his time is running out.

The Chinese Super League bosses are keen for Rooney to sign up as they believe that it will add credibility to the competition.
A source told the Sunday Express that the move for Rooney was “not so much about the money, just to escape the pressures and the stick”.
Rooney’s life on and off the pitch is constantly under the microscope and he hopes a move abroad will take some of the pressure off him and his family.
