Seven suspects have been arrested in connection with the deadly attacks on some communities in Plateau state, the Nigerian military has said.
The arrest of the seven suspects now brings the number of those arrested so far in connection with the killings to 18.
The attack left at least 100 persons dead and several others displaced in Barkin Ladi and other parts of the north-central state.
It sparked a widespread criticism and led to the deployment of special forces to the state.
“Our troops are still getting those who are involved in the attacks on June 23,” Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General John Agim, told newsmen on Tuesday in Jos.
“Two of the suspects that our intelligence gathering led us to have been arrested,” he added.
The suspects, Ibrahim Joji and Madu Ibrahim, were nabbed over the attacks on 23 June, while Shaibu Suleman, Buhari Shaibu, and Zakamin Abdulkadri were apprehended in connection with the killings that took place on Saturday, July 14.
