Nigeria women team, Super Falcons dropped one step to 38 in the latest FIFA rankings, after gathering 1608 points, five less than 1613 it gathered a month earlier.
However, the Super Falcons stood strong as Africa’s number one on the CAF rankings, also Ghana and Cameroon maintain their second and third places respectively.
United States retained their number one spot in the ranking while Germany dropped to top two in the FIFA women’s rankings for the first time since 2009 after a poor run of results.
England moved up to second spot for the first time, while Canada climbed to fourth in the rankings.
France came up to fifth, while the Netherlands remain at the number seven spot.
Sweden rose to ninth after being named joint winners of the Algarve Cup.
