President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of eight permanent secretaries in the federal civil service to address existing and anticipated vacancies across various states and geopolitical zones.
This is the second batch of appointments under Tinubu’s administration, following the June 2024 appointment of eight permanent secretaries representing states such as Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, and the South East and South-South regions.
According to a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the appointments were based on recommendations from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation after a meticulous selection process.
The newly appointed permanent secretaries and their respective states are as follows:
- Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia State)
- Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa State)
- Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi State)
- Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu State)
- Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe State)
- Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi State)
- Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers State)
- Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State)
President Tinubu urged the appointees to embrace their roles with a sense of commitment, diligence, and innovation to ensure efficient service delivery to the nation.
