President Bola Tinubu experienced a fall at Eagle Square in Abuja, while attending a parade to commemorate Democracy Day.
The incident occurred as the president was entering a vehicle, missing a step and struggling to regain his balance before falling to the ground. His aides quickly rushed to assist him, and the president continued with the parade, waving to the crowd.
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, who ran against Tinubu in the last election, responded to the incident on Twitter, expressing sympathy and hoping for the president’s well-being. “I sincerely sympathize with President Bola Tinubu, @officialABAT, over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day. I do hope that all is well with him. -AA,” Atiku tweeted.
