President Bola Tinubu has praised the appointment of Nyesom Wike as the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), calling it one of the best appointments made by his administration.
Tinubu, who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, commended Wike’s efforts in transforming the FCT and acknowledged his leadership qualities.
Despite initial opposition from some quarters, Wike has proven to be a valuable member of the team, according to Tinubu.
The President also highlighted the importance of putting aside partisan politics to achieve greater goals. Wike, a former governor of Rivers State and member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was appointed as FCT Minister last August, sparking some controversy within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). However, his performance has since earned him praise from the President and others.
