Transnational Corporation Plc, Nigeria’s leading publicly-quoted conglomerate with business interests in the Power, Hospitality, and Energy sectors, was recognized as the winner of the Sectorial Leadership Award – Conglomerates and the Highest Dividend Cover Award at the Pearl Awards ceremony held in Lagos.
These awards were given in recognition of the company’s exceptional operational and stock market performance in 2021 and serve as another achievement for the company.
Transcorp’s President and Group Chief Executive Officer, Owen Omogiafo, praised the recognition, saying, “This award is a testament to our dedication to excellence and a recognition of the hard work put in by the entire Transcorp team. In addition to the recognition for the conglomerate as a whole, Transcorp’s hospitality subsidiary, Transcorp Hotels Plc, also won the Sectorial Leadership Award – Services (Hotels/Lodging) for redefining hospitality and maintaining exceptional service for guests.
Mrs. Omogiafo also acknowledged the company’s success, stating, “Our continued success and growth over the last two decades can be attributed to our core values and strong corporate governance, exemplified by our robust Board of Directors, led by Chairman Tony O. Elumelu.”
