Liverpool have confirmed the signing of winger Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City for £13million .
The Switzerland international passed a medical on Friday before penning a lucrative five-year deal.
Shaqiri becomes Jurgen Klopp’s third summer signing following the arrival of Naby Keita and Fabinho.
The Reds were able to take advantage of a release clause in the 26-year-old’s contract following Stoke’s relegation from the Premier League.
Shaqiri, whose involvement in the World Cup was ended at the last 16 stage by Sweden last week, cut short his holiday to fly to Merseyside on Thursday to complete the formalities.
