Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has revealed why his side failed to beat Brighton on Boxing Day.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored for the Gunners, but the hosts levelled after a defensive mix-up, shortly before the interval.
After the game, Emery told Sky Sports: “We are disappointed but the first half is they key in the match. We had two chances to score and the goalkeeper saved very well from Aubameyang. We didn’t concede many chances but they scored from one.
“They are a very organized team. I think it’s difficult to win here. We wanted to control the match and in the first half we did this, but the second half we cannot do that.
“We are in our process, we want to be in the top four but we are continuing and improving,”
When asked whether the Mesut Ozil’s substitution was due to Brighton equalizer, Emery replied: “No, it’s only tactical. Because we changed from 4-4-2 and this is only a tactical decision.”
