A player got more than he bargained for after disagreeing with the referee for giving him a red card as the official pulled out a gun causing a moment of commotion.
The referee identified as Gabriel Murta felt assaulted by the player who was protesting his red card and simply dashed into the dressing room and returned with a handgun which he waved around. He was however held back by one of the linesmen who was courageous enough to move close to the enraged referee.
The incident happened during a Brazilian amateur league game betweenBrumadinho and Amantes de Bola. Gabriel Murta who happens to be a police officer is currently undergoing disciplinary actions while he was made to undergo a psychological assessment on Tuesday.
