Nemanja Matic has revealed that he was United “biggest problem” in a shocking 4-0 away defeat to Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Richarlison (13mins), G. Sigurðsson (28mins), L. Digne (56mins) and T. Walcott (64mins) were on score-sheet for the home team.
The former Chelsea player has been out injured and hasn’t played for Manchester United since the 2-1 win over Watford on March 30.
Speaking after the match, Matic told TV2:
Nothing worked for us today. I was the most experienced player in the team today and did not play well, said the midfielder.
We can’t blame the young lads. I was the biggest problem.”
Manchester United will face champions Manchester City on Wednesday.
