Governor of Ekiti state Ayodele Fayose has alleged that the president Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is not in charge of the running of Nigeria.
The governor made the allegation in a press statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka.
Fayose questioned the frequent absence of the president in official functions, saying that there is a government within the Buhari-led administration.
”Every day, what we hear is president said this, president said that without seeing the president in any official function and one is prompted to ask; where is the president?” he asked.
Fayose also questioned the manner at which the suspended Secretary General of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, responded to pressmen with regard to his suspension.
”What came to my mind was that there could actually be many presidents operating in the Buhari presidency,” he said.
According to him, confusion pervades the polity because of the existence of many strongmen within the Buhari-led administration, citing that, the president suspended the SGF because of the same offence he wrote to the senate to clear the SGF of wrongdoing.
”It is also for this reason that the President nominated Ibrahim Magu to the Senate for confirmation as EFCC Chairman and the DSS – an agency under the Presidency – wrote the Senate not to confirm him,” he added.
